When the wrong tree has been planted in the wrong place
and is getting too large, plant growth regulators may be
applied to dramatically decrease its growth rate.
These products are also used to treat stressed trees and
trees with root damage. By decreasing stem growth, the
tree can allocate its resources to the production of defense
chemicals and root development.
Occasionally, a tree cannot be fed by a traditional soil
injection method. This could be due to the fact that a
tree has paved surfaces surrounding it or otherwise has
inaccessible roots. In these circumstances, we use
micro-capsule trunk injections. Also, in the rare
occasion that a highly toxic pesticide is required, we
recommend injection to avoid environmental exposure.
